Jury Trial: People v. Ortiz, Case No. TA097607. Counts: 1-3: 664/187(a) (Attempted Murder), Counts 4-6: 245(a)(2) (Assault with Firearm on Person), Count 7: 12021(a)(1) Penal Code (Felony Addict in Possession of Firearm) and, Count 8: 11370.1(a) (Possession Controlled Substance with Firearm).

Special Allegations: 186.22(b)(1) Penal Code (Gang Allegation), 12022.53(c) & 12022.5(a)/(d)(Firearm Use Enhancements), 667.5(b) (Prison Priors).

JURY VERDICT - NOT GUILTY - 10-2 for acquittal. I persuaded the district attorney to offer my client a time-served disposition for a nonstrike offense. He received probation and was released forthwith.

Jury trial: People v. Fields, Case No. TA092132 {"THREE STRIKES" CASE INVOLVING LAPD ARREST} Count: 12021(a)(l) Penal Code (Felon in Possession of a Firearm). Special Allegation: "Three Strikes" priors,1170(a)-(d) Penal Code.

JURY VERDICT - NOT GUILTY

Jury Trial: People v. Carter, Case No. TA090074. 211 Penal Code (Robbery). Special Allegation: 12022.5(a) (Firearm Use).

JURY VERDICT - NOT GUILTY

Jury Trial: People v. Pierce, Case No. TA090732.11359(a) Health & Safety Code (Possession for Sale of Marijuana). Special Allegation: 667.5(b) Penal Code (Prison Priors).

JURY VERDICT - NOT GUILTY

Jury Trial: People v. Moore, Case No. TA099247 where the client was charged with murder (187(a) Penal Code) and many sex crimes (288(c)(2) and 289(a)(1) Penal Code)

JURY VERDICT - NOT GUILTY  of six of the nine charges.

Jury Trial: People v. Martin, TA074768 where the client  was charged with attempted rape and attempted sodomy and rape in concert (664/264.1 & 664/286(c)(l) Penal Code), I cross-examined the accuser and I moved to dismiss the case in midtrial. My motion to dismiss was granted and the case was dismissed.

JURY VERDICT - MY MOTION TO DISMISS GRANTED IN MID-TRIAL AFTER MY CROSS-EXAMINATION  OF COMPLAINING WITNESS

MOTIONS: Recent Successful Motions for Unlawful Search & Seizure & Cases Dismissed:  In People v. Curry, TA095520, I filed and argued a motion to suppress evidence (1538.5 Penal Code). The motion was granted and the case was dismissed. In People v. Sandoval, TA095336, I filed and argued another motion to suppress (1538.5 Penal Code) where the court found an unlawful search and seizure of a gun and the case was dismissed.
